The inventor of the popular Keurig K-Cups says he regrets ever making the non-recyclable, single-serve coffee pods, which are piling up in landfills.
“I feel bad sometimes that I ever did it,” John Sylvan told The Atlantic.
Plastic K-Cups have long been slammed for their environmental impact.
Campaigns like “Kill the K-Cups” use dramatic imagery of coffee pod monsters attacking people in the street. Keurig produced enough K-Cups in 2013 to circle the Earth 10.5 times, according to Mother Jones. READ MORE
